ABOUT TAPS
More than a workout.
A practice of precision.
Founded on the classical principles of Joseph Pilates, TAPS was built to bring mindful movement, spinal integrity, and intelligent strength to every body.

OUR STORY
Born from a passion
for purposeful movement
TAPS was founded with a singular conviction: that true physical freedom begins with a stable core, a mobile spine, and conscious breath.
Named in heartfelt honor of the founder's grandfather, Albert, TAPS was created as a welcoming, modern sanctuary where mindful movement and reformer mechanics honor the timeless principles of Contrology.
At TAPS, every class is capped at an intimate size so our certified instructors can provide hands-on alignment cues, customized spring resistance, and personal progression for every student.

Frequently Asked
Studio Questions
What should I wear to my first Pilates reformer class?
Fitted, breathable athletic wear is ideal so your instructor can clearly observe your spinal alignment. Grip socks with traction soles are required on all studio reformers for safety and hygiene.
Do I need previous Pilates experience to join a class?
Not at all. Our Foundation Reformer classes are specifically tailored for newcomers. We guide you through carriage setup, footbar settings, spring tensions, and breathwork step by step.
Can I practice Pilates if I have a back injury or limited mobility?
Yes. Pilates was originally designed for rehabilitative movement. Our certified instructors provide tailored modifications, supportive props, and spring adjustments for each student's needs.
How early should I arrive before my session?
We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes prior to class. This allows you to check in, stow personal items, slip on your grip socks, and center yourself on your reformer without feeling rushed.
